Citizens of the World: Brand Introduction Film

Citizens of the World Charter School in Los Angeles needed an introduction film for their unique social-emotional and project-based learning teaching model. We put together a concept around their core value of “Heart Smart,” where the students would tell the story of their school themselves, and show the teaching model in action, as well as their thriving community.

We conducted a series of interview sessions with a wide range of students and captured their honest and spontaneous interactions. We made sure to make the experience as informal and fun as possible to make the students comfortable in front of the camera. Additionally, we made a series of visits to the school and captured all the activities of a typical school day, showcasing the ins and outs of the school’s unique teaching model.

The end product was a short, fun film that introduced the school and its teaching model, which was used on its website and social media channels and proved an effective informational and recruiting tool.

Fluid’s video is one of our most viewed videos to date. Visitors to our school often mention it. They were able to replicate our vision of the project just from hearing a description; it came to life.
